Helensburgh Police Station operates with Community Police Officers for a number of specific areas including Helensburgh Town Centre, Rhu & Shandon, Cardross etc.

The appointed Community Police Officer for each area can then work within that community and get to know the people and the area fully.

The Crime Prevention Panel were instrumental in providing two mountain bikes and equipment specially adapted for officers on the move. The bikes were presented by retired Superintendent Alan Davies who patrolled his first beat in Alexandria by bike in the 1960’s.
